Accomplished a lot this weekend. Thank heaven for Stephen. He was the "boss".

pulled every weed, edged the whole yard, shoveled dirt.... spread 6 yards of mulch.

Going Swimming today with my Sarah. I hope i don't embarass myself too much

Does Mother Nature forget that this is SPRING? COME ON. Enough already.

I long for warmer air...althought I am not ready to jump to 90 and enough humidity to send us all to air-conditioning. Can't we have a grand Spring... one that slowly melts the snow, gradually warms up the air, an occasionally spring rain to make everything turn green again and start the growing process. This is nuts! We are ready to build an arc.

For J's job situation. Please give him direction. There are jobs other than in this city. We can't continue to go on like this. Give me strength and hope and faith to walk through this.

For J & S. Please heal their skin rash. It is getting bad and both of them now have this awful thing. Lead us to the right doctor to deal with this.

It's quiet in the house this morning. That is not a regular occurrence around here. John and I are usually home. Sometimes the children are here before school. My phone rings twice in the morning. First Jennifer calls on her way to school. We chat about the previous evening and what her school morning will be like. Then our second phone call is from Jessica who is also on her way to work. She isn't much of a talker, usually tired from working the evening before. I LOVE that both of our girls call every morning. I feel so lucky to have them, the kind of daughters who really want to be involved in my life.

Stephen tried to organize a yard work weekend at our house for this coming weekend, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen due to the weather. It's supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday. I am so bummed. Instead we might try and remove the wallpaper from our bedroom. I would like to paint my closet, too.

How can this continue to happen?

Today we had to take Sarah to the Emergency Room. Seems she fell and hit her head on the corner of the wall. Got a gash in her head. So... off we went, again, another doctor. She was such a brave little girl. It wasn't as bad as we thought but she needed 4 stitches,

so in the past week - how many doctor visits can you count?

Sarah - left arm injured but thankfully not broken

John - to the hospital, an all day affair, to have oral surgery

Sarah - sprained left ankle

Sarah - right arm injured ("I'm not going to have any arms left"_

Sarah - stitches to her head!

I think this HAS TO STOP!

Uggh!

How am I going to make it through this allergy season?

BUT

Tomorrow is Steve's birthday. Planning a great meal of:

• corned beef
• cabbage
• potatoes (not sure if they will be boiled or made into potato pancakes
• roasted carrots
• horseradish sauce
• rye bread
